Arjun Parmar
Arjun’s journey into aviation was not a matter of chance but of inevitability. Born into the world of flight, he was raised on military bases across India, watching his father—a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force—command the skies. The movement from place to place instilled in him both adaptability and an ever-deepening fascination with aviation. Though his upbringing was transient, Melbourne has been his most enduring home.
With nearly a decade of experience as an instructor, Arjun holds a Grade 1 Flight Instructor Rating with Multi-Engine IFR. His career has spanned four different flight training organisations, allowing him to teach a remarkably diverse range of students—from an 8-year-old enthusiast to a 92-year-old casual flyer, as well as university students and cadets bound for both domestic and international airlines. Each experience has reinforced his belief in the precision, discipline, and adaptability that aviation demands.
Before committing fully to flight training, Arjun pursued an MBA and spent close to a decade in marketing—an entirely different world, but one that ultimately proved peripheral to his true calling. Now, his focus is clear: in the short term, he aims to obtain Flight Examiner approvals and deepen his instructional expertise. Looking further ahead, he envisions a future in the airline industry while maintaining his connection to training, checking, and examining.
Beyond aviation, Arjun finds fulfilment in spending time with his two children, family, and friends. A lifelong sports fan, he follows Formula 1, cricket, football, and tennis with the same enthusiasm that drives his career. His philosophy—both in aviation and in life—is deceptively simple: just smile and wave.
