Program Overview

Design Feature Training Endorsement

Expand Aircraft Options

Design Feature Endorsements allow you to expand your capacity to fly aircraft with different special features. A Design Feature Training Endorsement allows you to conduct flight training for any Design Feature Endorsements that you hold.

The training follows the CASA syllabus. It includes both ground theory and practical flight training to expand your teaching abilities and skillset.

Be Able To Teach Design Features

Our Diamond DA40 aircraft have Manual Pitch Propeller Control (MPPC), making this a very popular and handy Design Feature to both hold and be able to teach. Other popular Design Features include Tail Wheel and Retractable Undercarriage.

For pilots who have the relevant Design Feature Endorsements, but don’t yet have their Flight Instructor Rating (FIR), we offer a combined Basic Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) package.

Schedule a meeting with one of our aviation career specialists to discuss whether this is the right course for you.

Our Graduate

Freddy Fuentes

There are a number of design features that are handy for pilots to hold. Learn To Fly’s Diamond DA40 aircraft have MPPC (Manual Pitch Propeller Control). So completing the Design Feature Training Endorsement for MPPC allows me to teach students and gain more flight hours in that aircraft. Learn To Fly’s courses are very thorough, with great instructors and excellent equipment to learn on.” – Freddy Fuentes, Grade 3 Flight Instructor at Learn To Fly Melbourne
