Take Instructing to New Heights.
In the Aerobatics & Spinning Training Endorsement course, you will learn how to teach students the fundamentals of operating an aircraft at the edge of its aerodynamic envelope. This program follows the CASA syllabus. It focuses on delivering the best practical methods for teaching manoeuvres covered in the Aerobatics & Spinning Endorsement course, coupled with ground training that includes pre and post-flight briefing demonstration and read back.
Under the guidance of expert instructors, you’ll learn and then be confident to teach advanced aircraft control techniques, emergency manoeuvre training, recognition of and escape from mishandled manoeuvres and dynamic stalls, and recovery from any attitude or situation. The course is conducted in our Super Decathlon aircraft, which is purpose-built for aerobatics and spinning manoeuvres and can handle up to +6/-5G. To complete this course you must hold a PPL or CPL plus a Flight Instructor Rating. If you don’t yet have a Flight Instructor Rating, chat to one of our flight training specialists about completing it with us!
To complete this course you will need to hold a current PPL or CPL. If you haven’t yet completed a Flight Instructor Rating (FIR), you will need to choose the Basic FIR course package. Your orientation will include an introduction to the airport, airspace, aircraft fleet, LTF processes and policies, and our facilities.
The ground school component of this course includes aerobatics and spinning theory with an emphasis on teaching pre-flight / long brief read back and demonstration of the Aerobatics and Spinning Endorsement course content.
Practical flight lessons include demonstration and performance of a range of aerobatic and spin manoeuvres including Upright Pin, Loop, Barrel Roll, Stall Turn, Slow Roll, Roll Off The Top and Unusual Attitudes.
The practical flight training includes a demonstration of a range of aerobatic and spinning manoeuvres with emphasis on instruction techniques and reads back, based on the content of the Aerobatics and Spinning Endorsement course.

Our GraduateShannon Thiele
“The Aerobatics and Spinning Training Endorsement is a valuable development tool for Flight Instructors as it teaches you how both the aircraft and the human body performs in dynamic flight situations. The LTF course is designed and facilitated by experienced instructors and completed in an aircraft that was purpose-built for aerobatic flight.”
