Ignite the passion.
If you’re considering learning to fly, but aren’t quite ready to commit to a full course, the Learn to Fly Starter Set is ideal. It is designed to help those intrigued with flying and wanting to develop their basic flying skills, the program includes flight training in a real aircraft, in conjunction with flight theory and simulated flight training, to teach you the introductory concepts of flying and help you decide whether flying is for you.
This Learn To Fly Starter Set training program will follow the CASA Syllabus. All flying hours in the package will be documented in your Pilot Logbook and will be credited towards any future flight training such as your Recreational Pilot Licence, Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence. So if you choose to pursue your flight training further, you’ll already have begun chipping away at your Pilot Licence. Schedule a meeting with us to learn more and discuss which one of our 3 Starter Set flight package options best suits you.
Upon enrolment you will receive a Training Starter Lot which contains all relevant course materials, access to shared online resources, and detailed information on your course process. Your orientation will include an introduction to the airport, airspace, aircraft fleet, LTF processes and policies, and our facilities.
Before your scheduled flight training sessions, you'll be able to utilise our flight simulator to practice all procedures. The simulator helps you understand exactly how to perform in each training session before getting into the real aircraft. It is an ideal way to enhance your training efficiency and minimise costs.
With the guidance of our experienced instructors, you will learn fundamental skills and manoeuvres such as flying straight and level, climbing and descending, turning, stalling and flying circuits. The extent of the flight training conducted will be determined by the course package you've chosen.
The flight training you've completed during the Learn to Fly Starter Set will count towards further pilot license courses (such as RPL, PPL, CPL). There is no need to start your training again.
Safe & Seamless Training.
Every student pilot should enjoy flying. Learn To Fly is constantly creating resources to help students do just that. Not only modern aircraft, but also facilities, experienced instructors and curriculums to create magical learning experiences and make every moment of air time worth it.

Kim Yeo“Although learning the basics of flying was definitely the best part of this course, I also really enjoyed meeting other aviation enthusiasts and aspiring pilots. Learn To Fly Melbourne has great packages to suit every budget and a very supportive learning environment. I’ll always remember my instructor David’s advice to “fly the plane – don’t let the plane fly you!”
