3 Years of Training, 5 Qualifications.

Choosing this articulation pathway for your aviation training can mean that you are able to be ready to start working professionally in a wider range of aviation jobs sooner. Completing the AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane) and AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) courses with Learn To Fly in Melbourne usually takes 18 months, and allows you to qualify for the Griffith University Bachelor of Aviation program via Advanced Standing (with 80 credit points). The Bachelor of Aviation program requires that you obtain a further 160 credit points while studying at least 6 majors and 10 elective subjects. This means that in just 3 years, you are able to complete 5 highly-regarded aviation qualifications (Commercial Pilot Licence, Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating, Two Diploma of Aviation and Bachelor of Aviation certificates).

  • 56 weeks

    • Step 1A | AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (CPL-A)

      Integrated CASA Part 142 training that takes students through RPL, PPL and CPL syllabus, combining practical and theory training. At the conclusion of training, students receive their Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence - Aeroplane) certificate.

  • 13 weeks

    • Step 1B | AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating)

      The training syllabus is completed in multi-engine aircraft and our state-of-the-art LTF simulators. Students receive their Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating (MECIR) and AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) certificate at the conclusion of training.

  • 10 weeks
    (Optional)

    • Step 2 (OPTIONAL) | Flight Instructor Rating

      Students who complete this optional training with LTF can obtain a Flight Instructor Rating qualification, which allows them to start working as a Flight Instructor and begin to accumulate flying hours while studying the Bachelor of Aviation program concurrently.

  • 18 Months

    • Step 3 | Bachelor of Aviation @ Griffith University

      The Bachelor of Aviation requires 240 credit points, meaning that LTF articulation pathway students will need to accumulate a further 160 credit points across 6 major and 10 elective subjects. The study can be completed online, and usually takes 18 months. Graduates will receive a Bachelor of Aviation certificate.

    • Step 4 (OPTIONAL) | Airline Interview Coaching Session

      Airline pilot hopefuls can complete our Airline Interview Coaching Session course, facilitated by a Check and Training Captain with a major international airline. This course has provided a distinct advantage to more than 200 successful airline applicants for a range of airlines around the world.
